Irrigation Tech – Denver

Position Summary:

The irrigation tech position is a full time, hourly-paid position. The irrigation tech will work on commercial irrigation systems and projects. They will be responsible for installing new irrigation systems, repairing and replacing existing irrigation systems, as well as installing and programming irrigation controllers. Irrigation techs will also be required to perform irrigation audits and be able to make proper adjustments to maintain the most efficient irrigation systems for our clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Installing new irrigation systems, as well as repairing, investigating, and replacing existing irrigation systems. 
  • Knowledge & ability to program controllers along with knowledge of Smart Controllers/ET controllers
  • Conducting proper and detailed irrigation system checks and irrigation audits, and making proper adjustments to system to maintain functional and efficient irrigation systems
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Properly adjust programs according to the site requirements to create an efficient watering program
  • Repair valves, lateral lines, mainlines, backflows, heads, drip irrigation, netafim
  • Identifying and replacing nozzles for watering efficiency
  • Activate and winterize commercial and residential irrigation systems
  • Safe use of equipment including skid steer, trencher, sod cutter, tiller
  • Completing written analysis of irrigation work completed
  • Ability to read & understand blue prints, Some estimating experience; willingness to assist estimators with take-offs
  • Client Relations
  • Demonstrating role model behaviors on ethics and integrity, as well as positively promoting Company culture
  • Attending weekly safety training meetings and team building exercises
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

Position requirements:

  • 3 years of experience in commercial and residential irrigation systems
  • Ability to work independently and/or with a team and complete all required work
  • Treat all team members with respect and dignity
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize duties in an ever changing and fast paced environment
  • Be professional in appearance
  • Ability to read and write
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Comply with company safety rules on job site and throughout daily activities
  • Drug Free
  • Clean MVR

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (Spanish & English)
